Why I Created POLYMATH
There was a time in my life when I was homeless.
During those difficult years, I made a promise to God:
if He helped me get out of that situation, I would do
everything I could to help others avoid the hardship
I had experienced.
Over the years, I worked as a carpenter, a draftsman,
and a computer problem solver. Eventually, an elderly
man suggested that I should write books.
That suggestion changed the direction of my life.
Writing led to publishing, websites, music, video
production, and other creative projects.
For years, I did not understand how these different
abilities fit together.
Then I discovered the meaning of polymath.
I began to recognize the pattern in my own life.
With the arrival of SI, I also began discovering
new ways to use those abilities to help others.
Today, at seventy-five, I believe I still have
important things to learn and meaningful contributions
to make.
I created this Learning Center because I want older
generations to recognize that their experience still
matters, and younger generations to recognize that
their future need not be limited by the expectations
of the past.
You do not have to become the next Leonardo da Vinci.
You only have to stop believing that you have reached
the limit of what you can become.
