Cadet Progression Overview

Entry into the Starfighters Cadet Program begins a readiness journey designed to build awareness, responsibility, and specialization in stages. Cadets progress through phases that emphasize clarity before commitment and readiness before authority.

Immediately After Entry — Welcome Transmission Issued Access to the Cadet Console, program expectations, and instructions for beginning Phase One.

Cadets are not assigned roles at entry. Observation and orientation come first.

Within 24 Hours — Phase One Orientation A structured briefing that establishes purpose, readiness, conduct expectations, and cadet flow.
Within 48 Hours — Phase Two Specialty Alignment Orientation An introduction to the five specialty divisions, focused on thinking style alignment rather than mastery.
  • Tactical Operations
  • Systems & Engineering
  • Intelligence & Recon
  • Command & Leadership
  • Communications & Influence
After Phase Two — Optional Introductory Challenges Available Opt-in scenarios and reflections designed to test fit and resonance. No pass/fail.
Flight Readiness Requirement — FRQ: Flight Readiness Qualified Baseline readiness training required before specialization. Completion awards the FRQ service ribbon and unlocks Phase Three.
Phase Three — Specialization Commitment After FRQ, cadets select one specialty path, receive their specialty patch, and begin focused training.

Specialization represents commitment, not rank.

Ongoing Participation Cadets earn points through participation, complete training, receive service medals, and develop readiness over time.
